Decades of disciplined practice made Barnstone a master anatomist. He relished the challenge of transforming the human figure into an expression of emotion and strength, unlimited by the confines of reality.
“There are no straight lines in nature,” Barnstone frequently reminded his students. His own works celebrated the fluid movement and precise geometric symmetry of the Golden Section repeated over and over again throughout creation.
Myron Barnstone always put so much of himself into his work — his passion, unique perspective, and occasionally, his own reflection. While all of his self-portraits are in private collections, Barnstone Studios has made available a limited number of First Edition Prints.
In Barnstone’s drawings, he expressed his mastery of the structured, geometric systems used by masters like Da Vinci and Michelangelo.
100% of the proceeds from the sale of these one-of-a-kind 16 x 20 prints go directly to the Gwendolyn Stine Scholarship fund. Each print is only $125, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Before his art was the toast of Paris in 1967, and before he became a respected teacher who propelled thousands of students into distinguished creative careers, Myron Barnstone was a student.
Own the Myron Barnstone Exhibit Catalogues commemorating his very first shows in the United States, and the first exhibits since his wildly successful Paris show in 1967.
